Dining in Heber

Heber City is 17 miles away in the valley just south Kamas below the Jordanelle Reservoir. If you’re looking for a great steak, be sure to visit the Claim Jumper.  Giant spurs hang over this restaurant's portico, and wagon wheels line up across the front porch, giving it an ambience of the old west.  The main attraction is a juicy thick-cut baseball steak. You can also try the delicious prime rib. Another favorite is The Hub at the south end of town at the intersection with route 189 serving great breakfasts. A visit to Heber wouldn’t be complete without a “Train Burger,” a Best of State Award winner since 2003. This family owned business has served quality food in a friendly atmosphere since 1946, as well as the best shakes in town. The Spin Cafe is a vivaciously warm downtown restaurant on Main Street serving fresh American food. They have all kinds of festive fare including hickory-smoked barbeque, as well as homemade gelato ice cream. For fine dining in a delightfully cozy restaurant in the historic square on 100 South, try the Snake Creek Grill.

In nearby Midway, Tarahumara is a popular Mexican restaurant serving deliciously fresh fish, chicken and beef tacos, burritos and enchiladas with a side bar featuring a wide array of relishes such as homemade mango salsa and cilantro lime dip. The famous Homestead Spa and Retreat  has a spacious family style restaurant in the main lodge and after you dine for lunch or dinner, be sure to visit the hot spring, walk in the gardens and enjoy the views of the surrounding mountains.
