High Star Ranch is for those who know that true finery lies in the sweet scent of sagebrush, in grasses rippling in the Uintah breeze, the soft crunch of leaves under hiking boot soles. All the pleasures of town are just minutes away, but you feel a world away.
Life at High Star centers on the unbridled delight of living well. It’s built around community, a colorful local heritage, a love of the outdoors, an appreciation for beautiful living spaces, and a devotion to adventure.
Whether your definition of adventure is running up a rocky mountain trail, calling off your morning appointments to sip coffee on the deck, or just trying something other than your “usual” on the menu … well, that’s up to you.
Our cabins offer luxury with breathing room. They fit in with the splendid landscape with style, comfort, and space. They embrace classic Western roots, clean modern style, and smart sensibility. They include natural textures, high-end appliances, rustic wood floors, high ceilings, fireplaces, cozy bathrooms, and porches worth spending time on.

GETTING AWAY FROM IT ALL
ISN’T THAT FAR AWAY
In addition to High Star’s on-site offerings, the surrounding area offers limitless opportunities for exploration. The ranch is nestled at the base of the stunning Uintah Mountains, with downtown Park City just 15 minutes in the other direction.
Rested up from relaxing at the ranch, you’re ready to step into adventure. The ranch is adjacent to the vast 2.2-million-acre Uintah National Forest, known for exceptional hiking, backpacking, camping, fishing, and horseback riding. Also within a short drive, you’ll find watersports at Jordanelle Reservoir, fly-fishing on the Weber and Provo rivers, and hiking and biking on Park City’s award-winning trail system.
Fine-tune your ski turns at any of the area’s three world-class ski resorts, then perfect your golf swing at one of the excellent nearby courses when springtime turns the leaves brilliant green. When the sun dips low, you can sidle up to a table at one of Park City’s fine restaurants and bars. Or just come home to High Star and kick back. We’ve always got room for one of our own.
THE VISION TO SEE WHAT
A PRETTY LITTLE RANCH IN KAMAS COULD BE
The stunning property at High Star Ranch was once slated to be an equestrian-focused community. But while the place had ample heart and beauty, it needed something more. That’s when our leadership stepped in with the vision of creating something beyond homes and horses (though you’ll still find plenty of both).
When High Star’s founders set about defining what they wanted the ranch to be, they knew they wanted taste without pretension. They envisioned gorgeous cabins where couples and families could live comfortably and happily. They sought wide-open lots where homeowners could imagine their own destinies. They imagined a walkable center village with a meetings and events venue, The Barn at High Star, that balanced rustic style with modern accouterments. And they craved a gourmet, locally sourced restaurant and bar where neighbors, town locals, and visitors could rub elbows and trade stories.
While High Star Ranch is a splendid destination for living, it opens its doors to anyone, local or visitor, who wants to swing by for an amble around the pond, a cocktail at the saloon, a wedding beneath the western sky, or a show that’s so good, you have to get up and dance.
Stop on by and pull up a chair—or pull on your boots for some time on the trails. Either way, we’ll see you when the sun dips low and the smell of dinner lures you in. So stay a while. You may never want to leave … in fact, neither do we.
