Dr. Sam Hendrix, High Star Ranch’s resident veterinarian, has a mobile medical truck which easily accommodates all but the most serious issues.  Dr. Hendrix also practices at the nearby Mountain Horse Medical Center where he is a certified equine surgeon, and where he can take care of more difficult cases from High Star Ranch.
                                         
Many of the veterinary facilities at High Star are still under development.  Currently, there are several isolation stalls and turnouts for recuperating animals, and plans call for a full service veterinary surgical facility to be built at High Star Ranch.
