Kamas has long been known as the “Gateway to the Uintas,” and Highway 150 starts in Kamas less than a mile from the entrance to High Star Ranch.  Mirror Lake is a very popular destination in the Uintas, and Provo River Falls just off the Mirror Lake Scenic Byway (Highway 150) is an outstanding afternoon excursion.

Whether riding on horseback from High Star Ranch or hiking up the hillside and into the National Forest, the Uinta Mountains are a treasured recreation area, and we are fortunate to have them in our backyard.  These photos are taken at the top of High Star Ranch or just east of the Ranch.
