Dressage Facilities
High Star Ranch has successfully merged the needs of the horses with the desires of the riders . Oversized stalls for large warmbloods, have direct access on to the heated arena which is also pleasantly cool and quiet in the summer. The barn features new GGT technology footing in the 100' x 85' indoor arena. These horses enjoy daily turnouts in large paddocks. There is also a full sized outdoor arena with judge’s stand measuring 220' x 100' (or more than 20 x 60 meters). There are a variety of options for horse boarding from corals with shelters to pasture boarding in large well fenced meadows with streams and loafing sheds. The health and safety and of every horse on the property is of upmost concern to High Star and each and every one is treated with consideration.
High Star Ranch encompasses over 1,100 acres with beautiful trail riding on the property and additional riding on the adjacent 2.2 million acre Uinta National Forest. Just north of Kamas, the ranch is easily accessed via SR 32 and is only 40 minutes from Salt Lake City International Airport. For guests hauling horses to their lessons, a spacious parking lot is available through an entry feature to the facility.
“I moved my two horses into the High Star Dressage barn this past summer. The roomy stalls and horse friendly turn-outs are great. My horses settled into their new home quite quickly. I have a Dutch Warmblood gelding, and he is usually a bit of a "hard keeper." He is so happy with his new home, I can't believe he is the same horse. Marlo Vivenzio is the resident dressage trainer and she gives lots of individual attention to each rider and horse. She has an upbeat, positive attitude toward the art of dressage which all her students appreciate. The footing in the indoor arena has just been improved with the new GGT technology and it is wonderful to ride in. It is the best part of my day to ride at High Star. The atmosphere is calm and friendly and the beauty of the surrounding area is like going on a mini vacation every day!”
