Marlo ViVenzio teaches dressage from the heart and is dedicated to her values as a coach and mentor, considering the needs of both horse and rider. She believes in promoting an intimate friendly atmosphere where everyone can work together and be supportive of each others’ goals. Her philosophy utilizes a holistic approach, based in biomechanics, and a foundation of solid horsemanship. “A rider’s seat and position should be well developed in order to be influential on the horse“.
Marlo enjoys preparing horses and students for the show arena but mostly finds gratification in coaching the concepts and mechanics of correct riding. Her personal style is to be kind, clear and precise, ensuring that safety and well-being are the top priority whilst providing a nurturing environment in which to thrive.
Marlo was raised on the 500 acre Starwood Ranch in Colorado with about 100 horses. At ten, she moved with her family to Utah where she continued to grow in the equestrian arts. She competed in the sport of Endurance then at fourteen, transferred her main passion to dressage, starting as a student and groom to gain the building blocks she needed to create her business.
She went on to train, and has competed successfully in shows and competitions throughout the Western States for the last twenty years. She is a graduate of the L program and has won numerous awards through the USDF, USEF, RMDS and UDS.
With her most recent move to High Star in the summer of 2010, Marlo has been able to provide her own daughter and her clients with the same fulfilled experience she herself had, growing up close to nature and the horses she loves.
