There are many different ways to enjoy the company of horses and experience the gifts they bring to our lives. High Star hosts a variety of events to promote growth, understanding and fun with our four-legged friends.  Some people have a passion for riding horses themselves, for others it is the spiritual connection, and sense of healing that they get just from being around them, and for many more it may be the excitement of watching a loved one participating in a competitive event.

At High Star, equestrian events are created to present something of interest for horse lovers of all ages, all ability levels and of diverse interests.

Most barns concentrate on either English or on Western style riding and horses and riders do not have the opportunity to diversify.  At High Star, whilst there is a distinct separation between the barns, both disciplines are embraced equally, and skilled events demonstrating the differences and the similarities are held throughout the year. This inclusive spirit fosters an atmosphere of curiosity, cooperation and camaraderie among equestrian people who might otherwise never intermingle.

High Star Events include dressage, jumping, cutting, reining, team-sorting, kid’s rodeos, vaulting, colt-starting and body work classes. In addition to our resident trainers, visiting clinicians bring fresh ideas and vitality to these events which are as much fun as they are fascinating and insightful.

The goal at High Star is to create a friendly supportive environment that presents valuable lessons, new experiences and creates lasting relationships between horses and people.
