The model home at High Star has been custom designed from the portfolio of Rocky Mountain Log Homes. Constructed from seasoned standing timber in the rectangular log dovetail style, each log has a history that you can sense throughout the house. Skilled artisans picked just the right materials then worked with the natural characteristics to create a unique residence.

This three-story 4500 sq. ft. home has a refined rustic look, and incorporates many modern luxuries. The kitchen has painted wood cabinets with granite countertops and features state of the art appliances. The living room has vaulted ceilings and affords spectacular views from south and west facing windows. There are four bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and a powder room on the main level.  The lower level has a family room with laundry, spa, and game room opening onto a walk out patio with fire pit and a garden.

 The interior log walls on the main level are chinked, with dovetail corners, and elsewhere they are drywall. The gas log fireplaces bring the outside in,  built with  natural rock from the High Star mountain quarry. There are hickory hardwood floors on the main level, and tile and carpet elsewhere, with under-floor radiant heat that provides ambient warmth throughout the house.

The exterior roof is durable cold-rolled corrugated steel, naturally rusted to the shade of warm copper.  The main level is chinked rectangular log with the upper levels in weathered wood board and bat. Windows and doors are custom aluminum clad wood and the front door is distressed pine log with a hammered iron detailing and a speakeasy. The three-car garage with additional bonus room above is connected by a breezeway to the kitchen and dining room.

Expansive decks wrap around the home affording panoramic views of the Kamas Valley, Deer Valley Ski Resort, the Wasatch Range and the iconic Timpanogas Mountains beyond. To the east are the foothills, Hoyt’s Peak and the Uintas.  

 For those wishing to experience the perfect equestrian lifestyle with none of the upkeep and cost of a larger home, High Star has planned and designed state-of-the-art 1700 sq ft cabins situated around the lake on the south area of the ranch. There are also larger acreage lots on the benches available to build a dream ranch with private barn and horse facilities. All home sites have access to trails and amenities.
