1,100 Acres with a 2.2 Million Acre Back Yard

High Star Ranch is 1,100 acres comprised of five distinct climatologic zones.  The entrance of the Ranch is on the floor of the Kamas Valley at approximately 6,300 feet of elevation with its rich soils for pasture land and hay fields.  The land then rises to the bench areas covered with sage brush and an occasional cottonwood.

As the land rises from the valley, the scrub oak become plentiful at about 7,000 feet and those eventually give way to thick aspen groves at about 8,000 feet.  At the top of the Ranch, near 9,000 feet, the aspens start to mix with evergreens as High Star Ranch reaches its border with the 2.2 million acre Uinta National Forest.
