High Star Ranch offers some of the best trail riding in Utah. No matter what the discipline or level of rider, here there is something for everyone. Well-planned and maintained paths meander through pastureland, groves of trees, and by streams and lakes. Pleasant rest spots can be found on trails looping through our friendly and accommodating equestrian facilities. All routes are easily accessible and fun to ride.
High Star home sites provide direct access to many miles of trails, which weave throughout the foothills where an abundance of riding satisfaction can be had without ever leaving the property. The terrain is varied and the footing is suitable for long horseback rides with dogs, family and friends. The trails afford spectacular views of the Kamas Valley, Park City Ski Resorts and the Wasatch Mountains.
High Star borders the magnificent 2.2million acre Uinta National Forest. During spring, summer and fall, ambitious riders can take the switchback trails, which ascend over 2500 feet into the higher elevations. There, dappled sunlight filters through aspens and firs on to mountain creeks and meadows, sanctuary to abundant wildlife. Guided trail rides on well outfitted, trusty ranch horses can be arranged and the possibilities for soul stirring wilderness experiences are endless.
Maps of the trails with useful tips and information can be obtained from the visitor center. It is our goal to enable everyone to experience as safe, satisfying and memorable trail riding adventures as possible on and around High Star Ranch.
