A Reserve World Champion with a
Varied Background
Jessica has successfully shown horses at every level and within many different disciplines (cutting, reining, reined cow-horse, roping, barrels, western pleasure, western riding, trail, horsemanship, showmanship, halter, hunt seat equitation, hunter hack, hunter under saddle, dressage, and even galloping race horses). She is a reserve world champion who has trained horses in Colorado, Arizona, Texas, and Utah.
Jessica’s training background began on a cutting horse ranch with her father who has been a professional trainer for over 30 years. Jessica also spent two years in an intense training program to become a certified veterinary technician and worked as an emergency and critical care technician at the Colorado State University Veterinary Medical Center. She was later put in charge of that facility’s equine isolation unit. Due to a particular interest in equine sports medicine, she then took a job at an equine rehabilitation center overseeing physical therapy and rehabilitation protocols for horses.
Today, Jessica uses her skills and knowledge to train reining and cutting horses and manage an intermediate care program at High Star Ranch. She very much enjoys working with youth and amateur riders as well as the more accomplished.
